SALSA BRAVA CELEBRATES ITS FINAL CHAPTER AFTER 24 MEMORABLE YEARS

The original Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group concept celebrates 24 years of memories, community and hospitality while honoring the legacy that started it all.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 21, 2026) — After 24 incredible years of serving innovative Mexican fare, Salsa Brava (located at Dublin Blvd & N Powers Blvd) is preparing to serve its final guests on Aug. 29, 2026. As the restaurant enters its final chapter, Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group (RMRG) is celebrating the legacy of the concept that started it all.

Since opening its doors in 2002, Salsa Brava has been more than a neighborhood restaurant. It has been where friends gathered after work, birthdays and anniversaries were celebrated, first dates became lifelong relationships, post-game dinners turned into family traditions and guests came together over margaritas and its signature warm blackened tomato salsa. For thousands of Colorado Springs families, Salsa Brava has simply been part of life's biggest moments.

As the first restaurant concept created by Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group, Salsa Brava laid the foundation for a family of locally owned restaurants built on genuine hospitality, fresh ingredients and giving back to the communities they serve. The culture established within its walls continues to guide Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group today.

For more than two decades, Salsa Brava and Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group have proudly invested in the Colorado Springs community through the Teachers First program, recognizing local educators, and by supporting schools, nonprofits and charitable organizations throughout Southern Colorado, including Fostering Hope and Goodwill.

"Salsa Brava was the restaurant that started it all," said Randy Price, Founder of Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group. "Twenty-four years ago, we set out to create a place where people could enjoy great food and genuine hospitality. What followed became something much bigger than a restaurant. Every guest, every team member and every celebration helped shape who we are today. While this chapter is bittersweet, I'm incredibly proud that Salsa Brava's legacy will continue through our people, our restaurants and our continued commitment to this amazing community."

For several years, Salsa Brava and Urban Egg have successfully operated side by side from their shared home on Dublin Boulevard, sharing one kitchen while offering two distinct dining experiences under one roof. As Urban Egg has continued to grow, RMRG recognized an opportunity to build on that momentum by expanding Urban Egg into a full restaurant footprint—creating more space for guests while investing in the brand's future.

The expanded Urban Egg will feature increased seating capacity, shorter wait times for guests, extended operating hours, improved kitchen efficiencies and a dedicated training environment for future team members. The larger footprint will also create opportunities to test new menu ideas, operational improvements and guest experience innovations that will help shape the future of the Urban Egg brand.

While Salsa Brava restaurant is transitioning into an Urban Egg, many of the traditions guests have come to love will continue. Salsa Brava's signature green chile, its iconic pineapple-infused vodka and Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group's commitment to Teachers First, local philanthropy and community partnerships will remain an important part of the company's future.

For General Manager Brad Gartner, who has led Salsa Brava for the past five years, the restaurant's greatest legacy has always been the relationships built around the table.

"The food brought people in, but it's the people who made Salsa Brava special," Gartner said. "I've had the privilege of watching families celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and countless everyday moments together. Those memories are what I'll cherish most. It's been an honor to be part of so many stories, and I'm grateful that the same spirit of hospitality will continue serving our community for years to come."

Few people have experienced the company's evolution more completely than Josh Davis, who has spent the past 20 years with Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group serving as Executive Chef, Restaurant Manager and Director of Catering.

"I've been fortunate to grow alongside this company for the last 20 years," Davis said. "Salsa Brava helped shape my career, but more importantly it shaped our culture. The recipes, traditions and passion for taking care of people that began here will continue shaping Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group for many years to come."

Over the coming weeks, guests are invited to celebrate Salsa Brava's 24-year legacy by enjoying their favorite dishes one more time, sharing memories and joining the team for a farewell celebration honoring the restaurant that started it all.
